Calxeda

Developing the latest ARM chip technology to slash IT and datacenter costs, Calxeda (formerly SmoothStone) asked JH&A to re-brand the company as they moved from a venture funding and intellectual property phase to actual production and marketing phase. Calxeda’s processor platform will dramatically reduce power consumption and the actual footprint of datacenters around the world.

Initially, JH&A was asked by Barry Evans, President of Calxeda, to develop a logo and graphic standard to brand the new name. Later, we worked closely with Karl Freund, the new VP of Marketing, to design the business cards, paper system, website and to begin preliminary work on trade show graphics.

“Things are really beginning to take shape”, said Rexford Burns, JHA&’s lead designer for Calxeda. “As with many of our start-up clients, we’ve had to be flexible and move quickly as we work with Calxeda’s management team to develop their corporate messaging and company personality. “We’re very excited about the opportunities to move forward with an exceptional group of people” concluded Burns.
